Background
James stands out as one of the few CPAs in public practice with the coveted CFA designation, giving him unique insights into accounting, finance and tax matters. James earned his CPA, CA designation at Deloitte, Canada’s largest accounting firm, and brings the rigorous skills and knowledge from a large firm to a more personalized and client-focused small firm. James draws upon his own experience as a small business owner to provide his clients with tailored accounting and tax solutions.
Before co-founding BTL, James held various roles at Grant Thornton, BDO, Deloitte, and Roynat Capital (Scotiabank).
In his spare time, James enjoys playing basketball, travelling and exploring new business ventures. James is a graduate of Brock University, where he earned his Bachelor of Accounting degree with First-Class Honours in 2 years and 10 months.
